On Thursday night up on the Lido deck they had what is known as a Dessert Extravaganza. We weren’t allow in until 10:30pm, however, if you wanted to take pictures you could go earlier. Hello? Who wouldn’t want to take pictures? I was there with my camera ready and waiting with my tongue hanging out of my mouth.
I took a picture of us waiting to get in to the display.
A beautiful chocolate display. It was one on hundreds.
Ice sculpture with a light on the inside.
We have all seen the pictures on the net of the fancy watermelon sculptures. Now I got to see it up close.
Just look at the chocolate sculpture of a swan.
Chocolate sea horses.
Trays and trays of all kinds of goodies.
I had some of that chocolate dragon.
This was the creamiest chocolate mousse I have ever had. It was amazing!
If you look closely you can see the monkey is made out of pineapple, oranges, squash and fruit. He was cute.
This had to be my favorite. On the different shelves there were apples and pears dipped in different chocolate and decorated beautifully.
Look at them! Don’t they look gorgeous!
I took two of these. One for Buddy and one for me.
Pretty pears in white chocolate with sprinkles.
The entire thing was made of bread. Bread in the shape of a lobster.
This was also made out of bread.
Another lobster of bread.
This little fellow was also bread.
And last a crabby piece of bread.
Hope you enjoyed some of the delicious pictures. The pictures really cannot do them justice. You had to be there to really appreciate their beauty.
Next time, Holland’s own private island.
Blessings!
Yummy!! Love the bread.
