I have a very dear friend who loves Christmas and everything Christmas. Her home is decorated 365 days of the year. She has been written up many times, and she had a wonderful article about her house in an English newspaper. Well, my daughter, Nicole just loves Christmas. Barbara was so kind to let Nicole tour her home. Nicole thought she died and went to heaven. Barbara and Nicole have become kindred spirits. They both love to collect, however, Barbara’s home is much bigger than Nicole’s. Below are just some of the pictures Nicole took on her tour.
A very and unique tree. It’s upside down and it takes up less floor room. Great idea!
View into the dining room.

This is the original icebox that William Jennings Bryan had when he lived in the house. Barbara had it converted to be used today.
This tree is in the breakfast nook.
This tree is downstairs in the Pub.

I had to sit after half way through the tour. It is really overwhelming.
This picture was taken going up the stairs to the second level. The window was taken out and put down in the Snuggery. On the other side of the window use to be a porch. Barbara and Dennis enclosed the porch and it is now their offices.
You see the tiny white and red mushrooms? They are glass and they come from Germany. The are the oldest ornaments on this feather tree.

Close up of patriotic tree.
Beautiful angles. This is just a small sampling of what is in Barbara’s home. Every place you look, there is Christmas. Buddy and I were Docents last Sunday for the tour of homes in the Grove Park section of Asheville. We spent the entire time at Barbara’s home. I learn something every time I visit. I could tell you the history behind the Treetop office and all about the ornaments and the trees. Go ahead, ask me! I know it all! However, the rest of the house is an open book. If there is ever another tour you must go see this house. Just beautiful!
Before I sign off I want to show you a picture of only one of the many beautiful die cuts Barbara has hanging. I just love it.
Merry Christmas!
Blessings!
