One day we drove down to Murrell’s Inlet and we had lunch at Bubba Love’s Love Shack. It had the best fresh sea food I have eaten in a long time. We ate in a room where all the windows were gone, and we had a great view of the inlet. Right in front of the Shack there was an island called Goat Island. The only way to get there was by boat. There were several goats and peacocks living on the island. Bubba takes care of all the animals. This was the view from out table. You can see the island on the left. Inside the Shack were some unique works of art.
I called this Tree Man.
Another picture of Tree Man.
I just had to take a picture of this sign in the Shack. Everybody who knows me, knows I am a glitter freak. I put glitter on everything. I even put it on my nails. I sent this picture to my yoga teacher and she just thought it was wonderful.
This was the sign over the door leading to the outside.
The next several pictures are of Goat Island. I got as close as I could without going in the water.
Peacock on the island.
Me sitting with Bubba Love.
Buddy with some captain.
A better picture of my pedicure. I just love pedicures. I didn’t discover them until I was in my 50’s! I’m glad because I don’t think I could have afforded them back then.
Here is a picture of the front of out hotel.
We found a wonderful Italian deli at the beach. We went there several times just to get their Jordan almonds. I think we purchased a total of 2 and a half pounds!! That’s a lot of almonds.
Here is Toffino’s, the great Italian deli. They were getting ready to expand there operation so things were kind of topsy turvy.
We got home from the beach sunburned! We put gobs of sun screen on, however, on our last day it was overcast and we were as diligent as we should have been. The tops of my feet were so burned, I couldn’t wear shoes and I missed two days of Heart Path when I got back.
By the way, I graduated from Heart Path, and I am now on maintenance. That means I still go 3x a week, only I have to pay for it now. Before my insurance covered it. I think it is worth every penny. I still have a long way to go, but I’m going!!!
Blessings!
Looks like you guys had a fabulous time! I miss the coast of NC. Congrats on graduating from Heart Path. I am so proud of you!
