I visited Buddy in Hendersonville one weekend and he took me to see Thomas Wolff’s Angel.
The angel is located in the Oakdale Cemetery. A very old cemetery. We had no trouble locating her. She stood out among all the others.
Isn’t she beautiful?
Clouds started to gather in the sky and they helped make some beautiful pictures.
You can see where her right wrist was broken. Before they put a fence around her, people use to climb on and over her.
I tried to get a good close up of the engraving on the head stone. I don’t know if you can make it our.

After we visited the cemetery, we went to an old antique shop in Hendersonville. As we were walking around we spotted the most beautiful china. I told Buddy that if he didn’t buy it that I would. It is Fiesta by Noritaki. It was made in 1933. The price was $400 but it was reduced to $195. It came with dinner plates, soup bowls, salad plates, bread plates, cup and saucers, and several serving pieces.
This covered vegetable dish is just beautiful. We went on line when we got home and ebay was selling just this dish for $95. That was almost half of what he paid for the entire set!
A closer look at the vegetable dish.
Buddy preparing a meal so we can use the new china. Everything tastes better on pretty china! Now we have to find some pretty sterling silver.
Blessings until next time!
I love the china! The pictures of the angel are beautiful. I especially like the one against the clouds. Sooooo pretty. Buddy’s kitchen looks like Chuck’s old one.
